This year’s EPHMRA Conference is shaping up to be the best yet, and we are delighted to be kicking off the event (20 - 22 June) with three extended training workshops from our Learning Development Committee (LDC) on the inspiring hot topics chosen by you.
Following feedback received from our previous conference and other EPHMRA events about topics of interest for further training, the LDC has sculpted a programme of varied and interesting workshops which certainly has something for everyone.
These workshops will be FREE to attend for those who have paid for a full delegate place at the Conference in Amsterdam, and places will be given on a first come, first served basis as they are likely to be highly popular.
The trio of four-hour interactive sessions which will run concurrently from 12.30 - 16.30 on Tuesday 20 June will also offer attendees the opportunity to engage with the speakers and their peers, providing a rich opportunity for learning new skills. All speakers will be confirmed shortly.
Held at the historic and iconic Beurs van Berlage, the workshops are as follows:
- Workshop 1 - Sharpening your Business Analysis Skills to meet the needs of the Product Lifestyle
Convenors from the LDC: Alexander Rummel, Aurum Research and Jayne Shufflebotham, Themis Analytics
The overall objective of this workshop is to learn about analysis techniques which can be used to analyse the data and information you have available at different stages of the product lifecycle and provide best practice techniques which you can try out back at the office.
The workshop will help you research and identify key nuggets in your different types of data and research which you need to analyse at different stages of the product lifecycle.
- Workshop 2 - Patients are a virtue: Best Practices in Patient Research
This comprehensive workshop is beneficial to all those involved and engaged in market research or business intelligence involving patients, and will appraise the impact of the patient component in the qualitative and quantitative project life cycle from different angles: clients, market research agencies, fieldwork and secondary data suppliers.
Different experts from across the industry, knowing all the tricks of the trade share their thoughts and will share what works well and what doesn’t. Attendees will gain understanding of why patient research is conducted and how this contributes to the overall business strategy. At the same time, they discuss how this translates to effective research design and impactful, productive delivery (and beyond).
- Workshop 3 - Skills Workshop: Qualitative (for Researchers with 2-3 years’ experience)
Convenors from the LDC: An-hwa Lee, Research Partnership and Jana Rueten, M3 Global Research
The workshop will cover 2 areas in depth - ethnography and projective techniques and at the end of the workshop you will have a greater understanding of some of the many qualitative approaches available to you and how you can apply these learnings to your daily role.
If you have just 2-3 years’ experience in healthcare market research and are a first time conference attendee then this is the workshop for you! Meet colleagues also developing their careers in the industry and share ideas and thoughts.
Skills workshop attendance is included in one conference registration fee as well as three online training modules which you can register for after the conference. Full details of this can be found here.
A light lunch will be provided for attendees at the start of each workshop from 12.00.
Please note that if you are unable attend a workshop after registering for a place, you must inform us by 4pm UK time on Tuesday 13th June to avoid incurring a 200 euro charge. You can nominate another person to attend in your place, but this must also be confirmed by the deadline.
