EPHMRA's Ethics Committee has published an Ethics Update covering important topics and it is only available to members - published in the members' area of the website.

In brief the update covers:

1. EPHMRA has been working closely with LEEM: Les Entreprises du Médicament to advise on the implementation of their first iteration of guidance: Practical Guide for Companies: Supervision of market surveys – personal data aspects.

2. On February 15, 2022, the French Data Protection Authority (the “CNIL”) published its enforcement priority topics for 2022. Each year, the CNIL conducts numerous investigations in response to complaints, data breach notifications and ongoing events, or based on previously established enforcement priorities.

3. EPHMRA/Syntec and Asocs Meeting On Friday 11 March EPHMRA met with Syntec, a professional consulting association and Asocs, the association for market health and research in healthcare. Syntec and Asocs updated EPHMRA with regard to submitting declarations on the IDEAH 2 platform, and the concerns regarding the framework of the anti-gift regulation, which does not take into account the activities of the market research profession and is therefore impossible to implement.

4. Other updates on Turkey, USA, Italy as well as Russia/Ukraine.
