EPHMRA Ethics Workshop
23 June 2025; 10:00 - 16:30
Venue: Leonardo Royal London, St Paul's
There is so much going on across the ethics and compliance landscape that we want to offer the opportunity to get together to explore and discuss.
Purpose: To offer Members an interactive opportunity to debate two key ethical themes affecting the global healthcare market research industry.
Key ethical themes we will cover at the Workshop:
Ethical and practical considerations of AI (with a focus on GenAI)Key implications of the EU AI Act on healthcare MR
Understanding other AI regulations coming downstream, i.e., US state regs, UK White Paper, etc.
Best practice in management of MR projects, i.e., logistics and watch outs for projects using GenAI with multiple stakeholders (e.g., client, MRA, fieldwork agencies and recruiters, technology providers).
Navigating the evolving regulatory and socio-economic landscapeImpact of regulatory shifts on diversity and inclusion in research – how policy changes (e.g., reduced DE&I mandates, restrictions on gender classification) affect respondent participation, data collection, and engagement.
Changing economic climate in terms of funding, hiring, budgets, etc and how this directly or indirectly affects market research services.
Cross-border transfers of data, e.g., changes to national regulations to restrict the transfer of data and effect on market research data collection and management.
